So, this is my first blog post...well, not really. I had a blog in college that I wrote on quite frequently, but at some point I stopped. A couple of months ago I started this blog and never managed to write in it.
For those of you who don't know, I moved to Indy during the summer of 2008. That decision was the best thing for me. I graduated college, and four days later my boyfriend( husband now) proposed to me. Obviously, I said yes. Less than a year later we were married in Destin, Florida on June 28, 2009 on the beach. The destination wedding was as close as I could get to eloping. I have this issue with breaking out in hives when I get nervous. Needless to say, there were several occasions where I'd break out in hives. Some of my coworkers were witnesses to those heinous hive breakouts. But that's all in the past.
Lets fast forward a bit, shall we? I married Michael Hubbard, my best friend. I think I've learned quite a bit about compromise since I've been married. Michael seemed a bit ahead of the game when it came to compromise. He grew up with three older siblings, so he really had no choice but to compromise on every little thing. I have one older sibling who spent most of his days reading encyclopedias and soaking up every piece of information he could while in his room. I, on the other hand, tried to spend every second I could outside playing sports. So, compromise... it can be harder than it sounds, whether it's trying to plan which family to spend Christmas with or which movie to see on a Friday night.
How about love? I think the one person that has taught me the most about love is my husband. I never thought I would find someone who would love all of me, not just the good but the bad as well. I can honestly say, I can thank God for him every night.
What's in store for the future? I'm not sure yet. Hopefully we can build a house, maybe go to Hawaii, and start a family. I hope it goes in that order...All three prospects are incredibly exciting, especially that third one.
That's it for the first post. It may not be the most entertaining or deep and profound. I thought a blog might be a good way for all of our family to stay up to date on what's going on in our lives. Hopefully I can provide you (the readers) with a bit more entertainment next time.
